Travis in Berlin

In part one of a multi-part series, we join Travis and Sofie on their whirlwind tour of Germany and Switzerland. In a rented Peugeot 307 cabrio, the two travel to Leipzig and Nürnberg enduring rain the whole way and checking out the sites. To be continued...

In this episode Sofie, a couple of her friends and me go to the Carnival of Culture in Berlin. The Carnival of Culture is a big parade celebrating the diversity of Berlin. It's also a place and time to drink exotic cocktails, and in our case, they were free (pays to know the bartender).

It rained most the day than cleared up, but it wasn't without it's bizarre sights, sounds and lack of sobriety. Also, Sofie wishes to apologize in advance to my parents for her drunkeness. ;)

Ok, this is the first episode post-hard-drive-crash so forgive the poor quality and limited content as I try and recover my webcam drivers and lost files. I also lost Final Cut Pro so I may need to make a new intro.

This episode was recorded a few weeks back, but chronicles Stephan and my experiences getting into, enjoying, and drunkenly leaving a G. Love and Special Sauce Concert in Berlin. This was Stephan's first time seeing G. Love and he was blown away. Every other day he tells me what an amazing show it was. (this was my 3rd time and..well..likewise)

Oops, Uploaded the Todcast but forgot to make a post about it. Episode 5 is shot from my new digs in Berlin, about 4 blocks from the old location. I went to IKEA and spent to much, but the room still looks empty. I also went to a little jam session with a couple friends and snagged some footage. Overall a quick and dirty podcast with a little stop motion fun.

Here's a fun one. We went down to the middle of nowhere outside Berlin for a couple days to their Tropical Island. The whole resort is inside this massive temperature-controlled dome. Inside are a "sea," a "lagoon," a "jungle," some 50 meter high water slides and all sorts of other American-like resort goings-on. It was nice to be in the sun and sand for a couple days, but really weird to realize you were in the countryside of Germany.

I forgot to write down a script and was kind of being rushed by my lovely girlfriend who was cooking dinner for me (you can hear her singing in the background).
